Current IRC Status Reports: South Dakota- SB 68 and HB 1216 were introduced stating very similar requirements – No ordinance may require that any fire sprinkler be installed in a single family dwelling. SB 68 passed out of committee with a “Do Pass” recommendation, SB68 , it passed through the Senate and the House Passed SB 68 52-18. HB 1216 has been tabled with a 70-0 vote.
