Current IRC Status Reports: State IRC Coalition formed by Fire Service with supportive agencies. Lobbied State Building Code Council(SBCC), did not get approval for state-wide residential mandate but did successfully get approval that allows local government to establish a mandated ordinance to require all new homes to have fire sprinklers without coming back to the SBCC for final approval. There may be anti-IRC legislation filed in 2010 to nullify the SBCC decision.
