To speak with the Expert of the Day (EOD), Please
call (845) 878-4200, Option 8, or email
eod@nfsa.org. For code questions or interpretations email to: eod@nfsa.org. Please include along with your question the following if possible: ▪ The jurisdiction you are working in, and the website if possible ▪ The legal code being enforced. Many municipalities do not update their ordinances making a current code illegal to enforce. Many municipalities have their ordinances on the website. ▪ Code sections or actual written violations (scan and attach) ▪ Pictures, sketches, or other visuals that will help us in giving you the best advice possible Note to Non-members of NFSA: We appreciate you coming to us for help; however this is a service reserved for the benefit of our members. Your question implies an interest in the NFSA and our long history (more than 100 years) of being the nation’s longest serving association for the fire sprinkler industry. Our outreach and influence in public safety and fire protection have made the industry the tremendous success that it is today. We try to answer a limited number of questions from non-members (after we have answered questions from our members) in the hopes that you will see the benefits of this service and that you decide to become a member. We are sure that you will understand that we need to prioritize our member’s questions first. Given that we respond to thousands of such requests each year, we can only respond to non-members as the time allows. The turn around time for a member’s question can vary, however our average response is within 4 business hours of receipt. Compare that time frame to any other organization (NFPA, ICC, local board of appeals, etc) and you can see how we are committed to this industry and helping our members with their concerns. We hope that you join us in order to take advantage of this, and our other wonderful offers. For membership information please click here. |
