September 26, 2012//PROTECTION OF FLAMMABLE & COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS & FIRE PUMP LAYOUT & SIZING
FLAMMABLE & COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS-This half-day program familiarizes attendees with using the Standards (NFPA 13 & 30) to determine the basic requirements for sprinkler systems in protecting flammable and combustible liquids stored in containers and portable tanks . The course is specifically designed to address the protection requirements for Flammable/Combustible Liquids in dedicated bulk storage facilities and general purposes warehouses. A brief overview of NFPA 30 will be provided. There are also a number if definitions covered addressing the handling and storage of flammable and combustible liquids. The course will emphasizes gaining familiarity with the standard by actually using the standards to solve practical application problems. PUMP LAYOUT & SIZING-This half-day program provides attendees with vital information regarding the proper layout and sizing of fire pumps. The seminar provides the attendee with a basic overview of NFPA 20. The NFPA 20 Standard and the NFPA Fire Pump Handbook are used as reference material. Students attending this seminar should have completed the Fire Pumps for Fire Protection prior to attending this seminar or have a good understanding of the requirements of NFPA 20.

BASIC-This seminar describes the responsibility of the contractor and authority having jurisdiction for the proper installation of earthquake protection of fire sprinkler systems. This is an intermediate level class. ADVANCED- This seminar provides advanced information on seismic protection of fire sprinkler systems. This seminar will be most helpful for those personnel responsible for the layout of seismic protection and those responsible for plan approval and inspection of seismic installations.
PARTICIPANT SHOULD COME PREPARED WITH A CURRENT COPY OF NFPA 13.
