This two-day seminar provides attendees with vital information on how to conduct plan review process of water-based fire protection systems. The student will conduct a basic sprinkler system plan review for compliance with NFPA 13. The student will be taught the importance of creating plan review policies in order to achieve an accurate and expeditious plan review process. The plan review process will be detailed and an overview of plan review procedure methods will be covered. In the second half of the seminar cover the acceptance test requirements for new fire sprinkler systems, underground fire mains, and fire pumps. It will also address the situations where equipment in existing systems is repaired or replaced. Next, the program will cover basic hydraulics. The program will conclude with a look at the standardized forms that NFPA 13 uses for computer generated hydraulic calculations and how to review these forms for the important information necessary for plan review.
