This program covers the proper spacing and location considerations for the various types of fire sprinklers over an 8 week period.  The requirements for the following types of sprinklers will be discussed: Standard Spray Upright and Pendent, Standard Spray Sidewall, Extended Coverage, Residential, CMSA and ESFR Sprinklers.  The issues discussed in this program will provide attendees with vital information on how to properly locate, space, and position sprinklers.  This skill is a fundamental aspect of sprinkler system layout and is a “must know” for all layout technicians.

 

Due to this programs far reaching relevance in the field of fire sprinkler system layout, it is a valuable resource for those beginning their career in sprinkler system layout and also for those technicians who would like to expand their understanding of NFPA 13 requirements for spacing and location of the different types of fire sprinkler systems. This program is also an excellent study session for those people seeking NICET Level I and Level II certification in Water-Based Systems Layout.

  

Intended Audience: This seminar is intended for fire protection designers and layout technicians new to the field of water-based systems and current technicians who seek to expand their knowledge abilities. It is an excellent program for people seeking their NICET Level I certification in Water-Based System Layout and for those Level I certificate holders who would like to take their certification to the next level.  Code enforcement authorities will also benefit from the material discussed each week. There are no prerequisites for this program but a familiarity with water-based sprinkler system would be beneficial to the participants.

 

Duration:  9 weeks, 8 sessions 60 – 90 minutes each, 1 session per week
