This seminar is for Contractors ONLY!

An effective inspection, testing and maintenance (ITM) program, conducted in accordance with NFPA 25, is critical to ensuring that water-based fire protection systems operate properly when needed. The program also acknowledges the liability exposure of ITM and prioritizes the need for clear communication in order to protect the ITM contractor and technician. Communications with the building owner, the AHJ, and even internally can have a dramatic impact on the success of a contractors ITM program. This highly interactive seminar will walk participants through a process to develop a best practices approach to improve communications and reduce exposure to liability claims associated with an ITM program.

This class is designed for Managers, Salespersons, Water-based Inspectors and Service Technicians.

Learning Outcomes: At the conclusion of this seminar participants will be able to:

1. Identify who is responsible for what functions in the inspection, testing and maintenance process according to NFPA 25 and state laws.
2. Discuss the barriers to communicating the results of an inspection, test or maintenance procedure.
3. Identify the benefits of consistency in reporting inspection, testing and maintenance findings.
4. Describe the potential liability exposure as a result of inconsistent or incomplete reporting of inspection, testing and maintenance findings.
5. Develop and apply a best-practices approach to communicating inspection, testing and maintenances findings both internally and to the building owner.
