The first Fire Sprinkler Americas Conference, held in February of 2014 in Panama City, Panama, was by all accounts a huge success. It opened a dialogue on the need for competently designed, installed and maintained fire sprinkler systems in Latin America. Now you have the opportunity to be part of the continuation of that dialogue, scheduled to take place in Medellin, Colombia on 24-25 February 2016.
As in the Panama event, this conference will be sponsored by the International Fire Sprinkler Association and will consist of two days of informative presentations following three separate half-day seminars on the 23rd of February on the subjects of Fire Sprinkler Systems Design Issues, Proper Use of CPVC Piping, and FM Storage Rules.
This will be your opportunity to hear first-hand from world-renowned experts in the field of automatic fire sprinklers. Speakers include well-published technical authorities such as Russ Fleming, Matt Klaus, Milosh Puchovsky, Jamie A. Moncada, Victoria Valentine, Jim Lake and Russ Leavitt. Representatives of Latin American sprinkler associations including AMRACI (Mexico), ABSpk (Brazil), and the newly-formed ANRACI-Colombia will be present to share their accomplishments and plans for the future. Shane Ray, the new President of the National Fire Sprinkler Association in the United States, will discuss the need for all of us to help in the effort to turn fire sprinkler adversaries into allies. Exhibitors from around the world will be present to display the latest in fire sprinkler technology.
Medellin is now known as one of the most beautiful cities in Latin America, and the conference will benefit from its location at the Intercontinental Hotel. As in Panama, a special optional dinner will be available at the close of the conference for those wishing to stay.
