INSPECTION, TESTING & MAINTENANCE FOR THE AHJ (with Lab Portion)

This intense 1-day seminar will focus will on the two primary questions that all AHJs are concerned with when it comes to water-based fire protection systems, "will the system work?” and "how do I know”. Through interactive discussion and activities this seminar will cover the administrative chapters (1-4) and the corrective chapters (14-15) of NFPA 25. Centering on documentation and processing, this seminar will provide the attendee with guidance on developing and continuing a relevant enforcement program.

Liberty Mutual Insurance is one of the only property carriers with a fully equipped fire lab. We regularly conduct seminars throughout the year to train our customers and partners on best practices for loss prevention.  The lab was constructed in 1984 and was updated in 2011.

The lab consists of approximately 6000ft2 of space and includes static and live displays of fire protection systems and equipment (12 risers and three fire pumps) in addition to classroom facilities.  The wet lab is used for live fire demonstrations and live sprinkler and foam-water system discharges.  The wet lab is also used for hydrant and fire pump discharge tests.
