Focus: The purpose of the course is to take a person with basic knowledge of math, physical science and drafting skills and teach them to be productive basic sprinkler layout and detailing technicians. All of the work elements necessary for NICET Level II Certification will be covered by the course.

Featured Instructors - At least two instructors from this list will be at each location.

Kenneth E. Isman, P.E. - is the Assistant Vice President of Engineering for the National Fire Sprinkler Association. A fire protection engineering graduate of the University of Maryland, he serves on a number of NFPA technical committees, including Automatic Sprinklers, General Storage, Fire Pumps, Water Tanks, and Inspection, Testing of Water-Based Fire Extinguishing Systems. Ken is the co-author of the NFPA/NFSA Fire Pump Handbook and has written numerous articles on fire sprinkler protection.

Victoria B. Valentine, P.E. - is Director of Product Standards for the National Fire Sprinkler Association.
Karl Wiegand, P.E. - is Manager of Installation Standards for the National Fire Sprinkler Association.
Kevin Kelly - is NFSA Consultant

Note: All Seminar Schedules are subject to change depending on instructor availability.
Homework will be assigned each night and each day will begin with a review of the previous night’s homework.
Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and should conclude by 5:00 p.m. each day, except for the 10th day,
which should end by noon or 1:00 p.m.
Students must make their own hotel reservations.

Member Price: $1,300.00 per person
Non-Member Price: $1,900.00 per person

Each paid attendee will receive a certificate upon completion. The fee must be paid in full and in advance using a check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express. The cost of housing is NOT included in the seminar registration fees. The fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, and all seminar course materials, including a copy of NFPA 13 (2010 edition), a copy of the NFSA textbook, "Layout, Detail & Calculation of Fire Sprinkler Systems", and a workbook of exercises and useful handouts.
