Subscriber member:
This membership is available for fire services and code officials. NFSA created this special category of membership for "Authorities Having Jurisdiction" and other interested parties, such as insurance loss control managers, provided they are not eligible for any other category of membership. Unlike other NFSA membership categories, Subscriber memberships are for
individuals
.
Only one copy of member publications will be sent per membership.
Professional member:
The professional category of membership was created for architects, engineers, and other professionals. It is intended for people who are self-employed or members of small firms. If you supply products or services, such as computer programs or technical services, directly to fire sprinkler contractors and others in the fire sprinkler industry, you are eligible for NFSA's "SAM" (Supplier and Manufacturer) membership category. Unlike other NFSA membership categories, Professional memberships are for
individuals
.
Only one copy of member publications will be sent per membership. Larger firms with branch offices or more than five employees joining as professionals may find it to their advantage to enroll the company as a "SAM" member.
Employees of fire sprinkler contracting companies are not eligible for Subscriber or Professional membership.
Supplier and Manufacturer ("SAM") member:
Supplier and Manufacturer membership is open to any firm who sells or distributes materials or services who end use is intended for inclusion in fire sprinkler systems but is not eligible for membership as a Sprinkler Manufacturer or Contractor.
Contractor member:
Contractor membership is open to any firm or corporation which installs, inspects or repairs fire sprinkler systems in the United States.
