Retrofit Specialist
Share |

The ideal candidate for this team member is one who is driven to help solve problems. He or she will spend a majority of their time helping communities develop strategies geared towards getting sprinklers installed in every building; especially those already built without them. This person will regularly interact with AHJ’s, building owners, elected officials and others building strong coalitions to help accomplish the mission. The ability to set long-term goals and develop multi-faceted action plans aimed at reaching those goals is a must. The Retrofit Specialist and the critical mission they will undertake will receive support from the entire NFSA team and needs to be able to leverage those resources to their advantage. Likewise, the specialist will from time to time be tasked with supporting other NFSA efforts and must be ready to perform those functions as needed. Significant travel will be required as well as the ability to work independently, without direct supervision, and in various business environments.
